2011 Golden Globe Awards Predictions

Tomorrow the 2011 Golden Globe nominations are announced. So I thought I would give my predictions for the nominees in some of the major categories.

Best Motion Picture-Drama: The Descendants, Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, The Help, War Horse

Best Motion Picture-Musical or Comedy: 50/50, The Artist (apparently it will be in this category), Bridesmaids, Midnight in Paris, Young Adult

Best Actor: George Clooney-The Descendants, Leonardo DiCaprio-J. Edgar, Michael Fassbender-Shame, Woody Harrelson-Rampart, Brad Pitt-Moneyball

Best Actor-Comedy: Robert Downey Jr.-Sherlock Holmes 2, Jean Dujardin-The Artist, Joseph Gordon-Levitt-50/50, Tom Hanks-Larry Crowne, Owen Wilson-Midnight in Paris 

Best Actress: Glenn Close-Albert Nobbs, Viola Davis-The Help, Rooney Mara-The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, Elizabeth Olsen-Martha Marcy May Marlene, Meryl Streep-The Iron Lady

Best Actress-Comedy: Cameron Diaz-Bad Teacher, Julia Roberts-Larry Crowne, Charlize Theron-Young Adult, Kristin Wiig-Bridesmaids, Michelle Williams-My Week with Marilyn

Best Director: Stephen Daldry-Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close, David Fincher-The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, Michael Hanazavicius-The Artist, Alexander Payne-The Descendants, Stephen Spielberg-War Horse
